Fresh Flower Care

Making your flowers last

A few minutes of care when your flowers arrive makes a week of difference.

  • Unwrap your bouquet and trim 2-3cm from each stem at an angle with sharp scissors.
  • Use a clean vase and fresh, cool water. Add the flower food if provided.
  • Remove any leaves that would sit below the water line.
  • Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, radiators and fruit bowls.
  • Refresh the water every two days, re-trimming stems if it has gone cloudy.

Dried flowers

Dried arrangements need no water at all. Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from damp rooms, and dust gently with a hairdryer on its coolest, lowest setting.
